Instructions
  1. Halve plums and remove pits. Arrange in one layer in a suitable baking dish
  2. Sprinkle over the sugar and the vanilla extract
  3. Add 3-4 tablespoons cold water
  4. Bake in oven at 200 C until the plums are soft

Serve with cream, crème fraiche, custard or even yoghurt.
