Instructions
- Core the cabbage and cut into fine strands
- Heat a little oil in a wide pot and add cumin seeds and bay leaf
- As soon as the bay leaves colour add the cabbage and the defrosted peas and stir for about 30 seconds
- Add the cayenne and the turmeric and mix
- Cover, turning heat to low and cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are just tender
- Add the chilli, salt and sugar
- Cover and cook for a further 2-3 mins
- Remove cover, sprinkle in garam masala
- Remove bay leaves before serving
