  1. Cream butter and sugar to pale
  2. Gradually beat in the eggs and fold in flour and salt with a metal spoon
  3. Turn into a prepared ring (Bundt) tin and bake for 25 minutes at 190 C
  4. Cool cake and return it to its tin.
  5. Sweeten the coffee, add the rum and pour over cake. If not wet enough make more.
  6. Turn onto a serving dish and serve with whipped cream or whatever takes your fancy.
